always had the same view on this, lion and tigers are heap apart without the manes and stripes. lion has the edge on testosterone while the tiger is packed with more visible muscles.
this topic displays that difference.

Thanks Bold. ok you want me to make those 'lions' upper arms covered? why, because there bigger muscular arms isn't it?Bold look at the lion's threads all over yuku forum. there are much more wild lions with their upper arms uncovered than vise versa. i repeat, wild lions. of course in captivity lion's mane can grow extremely long completely covering there upper arms and even half of it's body. especially the descendant of the barbary and cape lions. thus makes them looks even larger than they really are.so your complaint here is irrelevant. don't forget, i also made this 'lions' with huge mane covering there upper arms. (my god i should make some revision from this kaziranga lion, lol). still you can see a very huge wild lion with huge arms. honestly i never seen any wild lion like this, never.about the belly's mane, sometimes i gave them but sometimes i didn't. because i tried to give as much variation as possible. now bold if you want to compare there size, look at the maned lions and tigers.if you want to compare the muscularity, look at the maneless and stripeless both lions and tigers.this is simple, you need to look at them carefully and be honest to your self.anyway bold, maybe it's your turn now to switch some maned lion to tiger or vise versalets see from your point of view

Use normal sized tigers:
A large mane only makes the lio look larger to the untrained eye. It is an illusion, and the whole point of the mane, but i`m never fooled.
